What to Expect
Preparation Before Treatment
- Your yard should be free of large, existing weeds, leaf debris, and other obstructions.
- Please note: We do not pull or clean up weeds as part of our service.
- Any dead weeds following treatment are the responsibility of the customer to remove.
Application Process for One-Time and Seasonal Plans:
- We apply a pre-emergent herbicide to hardscape areas (such as rock beds and walkways). This product soaks into the soil and targets weeds at the seed level.
- We do not apply pre-emergent to lawn or garden areas.
- Visible existing weeds will be treated with a post-emergent spray. Please allow 7–10 days for the treated weeds to die, depending on size and species.
- Weeds taller than 5 inches may not respond fully to the initial treatment.
- Weed seedlings in late germination stages can be particularly resistant to treatment.
Follow-Up and Warranty for Seasonal Defense and 365 Complete Plans:
- Between your Spring and Fall pre-emergent applications, we will spot treat any weed breakthrough during your regular scheduled pest control visits.
- Please understand that new weeds may appear during the 6-month warranty period due to windblown seeds or spores from neighboring properties.
- Do not pull new weeds that emerge after treatment. It’s important for our technician to see them in order to treat the affected areas properly.
- If you notice new growth, simply bring it to our attention so it can be addressed at your next service.
